Antonija vive da molti anni vicino a Vienna con il marito e le tre figlie. È una compositrice neoclassica per musica da film e una pianista. Ha recentemente firmato un contratto con la “Yellow Rose Records” dall’Australia, che pubblicherà il quinto album di Antonia Seasons of Life. Il suo quarto album Forever è stato pubblicato nell’ottobre 2020 da Parma Recordings e la rivista Take Effects Reviews ha scritto: “Forever spesso porta con sé un incantevole spirito romantico e una performance eccezionale che ti farà seguire ogni nota”. Alla fine di settembre “Forever” ha avuto 103 000 stream su Spotify.
Per promuovere il suo secondo album Life Stories e il suo terzo album Il Mare, Antonija è 2018-2019 ha viaggiato in tutta Italia e ha suonato in cinque città, tra cui il famoso Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma e il Teatro dal Verme di Milano. Il suo acclamato album di debutto Soul Colors è stato pubblicato nel 2014 da Autentico Music in Germania ed è stato firmato dalla Warner Chappell (contratto di “editoria”). I critici tedeschi e italiani hanno così commentato le composizioni di Antonia: “una risposta femminile a Ludovico Einaudi”, “simile a Erik Satie così come il concerto di Colonia di Keith Jarrett”, “un concerto che va direttamente all’anima”, “(crea) suggestioni amore poetico”, “Sinfonia di emozioni”, “musica vicina alla meditazione angelica”, “Pacek, rinascita dei grandi classici”, e “musica bella come un gioiello scintillante”. Antonija è anche una psicologa, insegna psicologia in diverse università internazionali a Vienna.
Piani con il tuo nuovo album, “Seasons of Life” Il mio prossimo album “Seasons of Life” uscirà l’anno prossimo, ma è già completamente completato. Ci sono un totale di undici composizioni e ho dato a questo album un titolo simile perché ho scritto canzoni come “Winter Walz”, “Springtime”, “Summer Tale” e “Fall Train” e sono state ispirate, come sempre, da storie di vita vera. Ho firmato un contratto con la grande etichetta discografica “Yellow Rose Records” (YRR) dall’Australia, il cui giovane team lavora in modo fantastico e hanno molti grandi compositori neoclassici nella loro lista. Quella casa di musica ha consigliato di iniziare con i singoli, perché in questo modo posso metterli su più “playlist” su varie piattaforme di streaming. Il primo doppio singolo “Lost” è uscito in versione pianistica e orchestrata il 13 agosto 2021, e in un mese dalla sua uscita “Lost” ha già quasi 30000 stream, un risultato abbastanza buono per il genere neoclassico.
Sono stato molto felice di lavorare con Sanja Romić alle mie due composizioni “Sadness” e “Rain Drops”, per le quali ha arrangiato l’oboe, e ha suonato la sua parte in modo bello ed emozionante con il mio pianoforte. YRR rilascerà “Sadness” come singolo 24.9. e “Gocce di pioggia” 22.10. quest’anno su 54 piattaforme di streaming internazionali e non vediamo l’ora. “Life is…” sarà nella compilation YRR delle migliori composizioni prima di Natale, e sono molto onorato che abbiano scelto quella composizione dal mio nuovo album. Come è nata la collaborazione con Sanja Romić di Novi Sad? Insomma, all’inizio dell’anno, ho frequentato il corso Be Your Own Manager (BYOM) per musicisti, che era online ed è stato organizzato da un ex intendente per la Vienna Concert Hall. Ho incontrato Sanja Romić di Novi Sad a quel corso, che è durato 13 settimane. Gli alumni del BYOM hanno organizzato in modo indipendente il più grande Nextus Festival online di musica classica e neoclassica, dove io e Sanja ci siamo esibiti in modo indipendente. Il festival è durato 4 interi fine settimana e si sono esibiti 34 musicisti provenienti da tutto il mondo, quindi abbiamo avuto grandi oratori ogni fine settimana, che avrebbero parlato alla grande di musica, creatività, leader di oggi. Ascoltando Sanja con la sua collega alla chitarra, il suo oboe mi ha fatto piangere. La performance di Sanja mi ha commosso fino alle lacrime perché era sincera e piena di emozione. La musica ci ha avvicinato e, anche se non ci siamo mai visti al di fuori del mondo online, è nata l’idea di inviarle le mie due composizioni, “Sadness” e “Rain Drops”, perché le ascolti e senta se “risuonano ” con lei. Li ascoltò attentamente e scrisse un bellissimo arrangiamento per l’oboe, e suonò quelle parti. Sento che ha capito le mie emozioni e ha costruito su di esse. Le composizioni sono di carattere malinconico e si ispirano a tristi eventi della vita. “Tristezza” è dedicato a tutti coloro che hanno sentito i problemi di salute dei propri cari e si sono sentiti impotenti. “Rain Drops” può essere descritto come gocce di tristezza nel mondo di una donna che non trova sostegno dai suoi cari nelle aspirazioni creative, mal pagate… Davor Rocco ha padroneggiato il nostro pianoforte e il suo oboe in bellissime unità, anche se abbiamo registrato ogni parte geograficamente distanti l’una dall’altra. Sono state create due grandi composizioni. Abbiamo in programma di continuare la nostra cooperazione. Ho intenzione di inviarle la composizione “Springtime” e “Winter Waltz” in modo che possa abbellirli con il suo bellissimo oboe. Che cosa hai fatto questa estate? Ero entusiasta di aver avuto l’opportunità di contribuire con la mia musica al primo festival Ponta Lopud vicino a Dubrovnik in Croazia quest’estate. L’isola di Lopud è stata scelta per ospitare questo evento creativo, perché è davvero magico e stimolante. Spero che questo festival diventi un luogo di incontri regolari dei migliori creativi di tutto il mondo, cosa che non vedo l’ora. Durante il 4° giorno del festival Ponta Lopud, mi sono esibito prima della proiezione di “La Promesse” (un film scelto da un premio Oscar Pawel Pawlikowski, che lì ha fatto masterclass per giovani registi), e ho scelto alcune delle mie canzoni : “Se solo il tempo fosse concesso”, su una storia d’amore che purtroppo è fallita, nonostante ci fossero tutti i presupposti per realizzarla; “Sofia”, su una delle persone più gentili che conosca, ingiustamente punita per una brutta sorte, e “Lost”, dedicato a tutti coloro che hanno vissuto la grande perdita della persona che amavano. Gli organizzatori Miro Purivatra e Tilda Bogdanovic hanno apprezzato molto le composizioni, mi hanno detto che hanno chiuso gli occhi e hanno sognato – le composizioni si adattavano davvero all’atmosfera del film che è stato proiettato dopo il mio concerto. È stato anche un grande onore tenere un concerto al Festival estivo di Lopud nella chiesa di Sv. Nicola. Il concerto si è svolto il 23.08.2021 e ho dedicato tutti i soldi dei biglietti ai vigili del fuoco di Lopud perché mancavano le attrezzature per il monitoraggio degli incendi. Cosa hai in programma per questo autunno? È molto difficile programmare qualcosa per l’autunno, per quanto riguarda i concerti, perché le misure vengono nuovamente inasprite a causa della pandemia di Covid-19. I numeri stanno salendo di nuovo in Europa, in Austria… Ad esempio, in Austria tutto si è fermato nell’ultimo anno e mezzo, non c’è stato un solo concerto fino all’estate. È davvero spaventoso! Sono sicuro che lavorerò per promuovere i singoli e il mio nuovo album nei prossimi mesi. Spero di scrivere musica per un film o una serie… È davvero un grande sogno per me.

Seasons of Life by Antonia Pacek
Antonija lives next to Vienna with her husband and three daughters for many years. She is a neoclassical composer for film music and a pianist. She recently signed a contract with “Yellow Rose Records” from Australia, which will release Antonia’s fifth album Seasons of Life. Her fourth album Forever was released in October 2020 by Parma Recordings, and Take Effects Reviews magazine wrote: “Forever often carries an enchanting romantic spirit and exceptional performance that will make you follow every note.” By the end of Sept. “Forever” has had 103 000 streams on Spotify. To promote her second album Life Stories and her third album Il Mare, Antonija is 2018-2019 traveled throughout Italy and played in five cities, including the famous Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and the Teatro dal Verme in Milan.
Her acclaimed debut album Soul Colors was released in 2014 by Autentico Music in Germany and was signed by Warner Chappell (“publishing” contract). German and Italian critics commented on Antonia’s compositions as follows: “a female response to Ludovico Einaudi”, “similar to Erik Satie as well as Keith Jarrett’s Cologne Concert”, “a concert that goes directly to the soul”, “(creates) evocative poetic love”,“Symphony of emotions”,“music close to angel meditation”,“Pacek, rebirth of great classics”, and“ music as beautiful as a glittering jewel.” Antonija is also a psychologist, teaching psychology at several international universities in Vienna.
Plans with your new album, “Seasons of Life”
My next album “Seasons of Life” will be released next year, but it’s already fully completed. There are a total of eleven compositions, and I gave this album such a title because I wrote songs like “Winter Walz,” “Springtime,” “Summer Tale,” and “Fall Train,” and they were inspired, as always, by true life stories.
I signed a contract with the great record label “Yellow Rose Records” (YRR) from Australia, whose young team works fantastically, and they have a lot of great neoclassical composers on their list. That music house recommended that we start with singles, because this way I can put them on more “playlists” on various streaming platforms.
The first double single “Lost” was released in piano and orchestrated version on August 13, 2021, and in one month since its release “Lost” has already almost 30000 streams, which is a pretty good result for neoclassical genre. I was very happy to be working with Sanja Romić on my two compositions “Sadness” and “Rain Drops”, for which she arranged the oboe, and played her part beautifully and emotionally with my piano. YRR will release “Sadness” as a single 24.9. and “Rain Drops” 22.10. this year on 54 international streaming platforms and we are really looking forward to it. “Life is…” will be on the YRR compilation of the best compositions before Christmas, and I am very honored that they chose that composition from my new album.
How did the cooperation with Sanja Romić from Novi Sad come about? In short, at the beginning of the year, I attended the Be Your Own Manager (BYOM) course for musicians, which was online and was organized by a former intendant for the Vienna Concert Hall. I met Sanja Romić from Novi Sad at that course, which lasted 13 weeks. BYOM alumni independently organized the largest online Nextus Festival of classical and neoclassical music, where Sanja and I performed independently. The festival lasted 4 full weekends and 34 musicians from all over the world performed, so we had great speakers every weekend, who would have a great talk about music, creativity, today’s leaders. Listening to Sanja with her colleague on a guitar, her oboe made me cry. Sanja’s performance moved me to tears because she was sincere and full of emotion. Music brought us closer, and although we never saw each other outside the online world, the idea was born to send her my two compositions, “Sadness” and “Rain Drops”, for her to hear them, and to feel if they “resonate” with her.
She listened to them carefully and wrote a beautiful arrangement for the oboe, and played those parts. I feel she understood my emotions and built on them. The compositions are of a melancholic character and are inspired by sad life events. “Sadness” is dedicated to everyone who felt the health problems of their loved ones and felt helpless. “Rain Drops” can be described as drops of sadness in the world of a woman who does not find support from her loved ones in creative aspirations, who are poorly paid… Davor Rocco mastered our piano and her oboe in beautiful units, even though we recorded each part geographically far from each other. Two great compositions were created. We plan to continue our cooperation. I plan to send her “Springtime” composition and “Winter Waltz” so that she could embellish them with her beautiful oboe. What did you do this summer? I was thrilled that I had the opportunity to contribute my music to the first Ponta Lopud festival near Dubrovnik in Croatia this summer. The island of Lopud was chosen to host this creative event, because it is truly magical and inspiring. I hope that this festival will become a place of regular gatherings of top creatives from all over the world, which I am really looking forward to. During the 4th day of the Ponta Lopud festival, I performed before the screening of “La Promesse” (a film chosen by an Oscar-winner Pawel Pawlikowski, who made master class there for young directors), and I chose a few of my songs: “If Only Time Allowed”, about a love story that unfortunately failed, although there were all the prerequisites for it to happen; “Sofia”, about one of the kindest people I know, who was unjustly punished for a bad fate, and “Lost”, dedicated to all those who have experienced the great loss of the person they loved. Organizers Miro Purivatra and Tilda Bogdanovic really liked the compositions, they told me that they closed their eyes and dreamed – the compositions really suited the atmosphere of the film that was projected after my concert. It was also a great honor to play a concert at the Lopud’s Summer Festival in the church of Sv. Nicholas. The concert took place on 23.8.2021 and I dedicated all the money from the tickets to the Lopud Fire Department because they lacked fire monitoring equipment. What are you plans for this Autumn? It is very difficult to plan anything for the autumn, as far as concerts are concerned, because the measures are being tightened again due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The numbers are going up again in Europe, in Austria… For example, in Austria everything has stopped for the last year and a half, there has not been a single concert until Summer. That’s really scary! I’m sure I’ll be working on promoting singles and my new album in the coming months. I hope to write music for a movie or series … It’s a really big dream for me.
